It’s the end of the year and the time for the final Sew My Style Reveal of 2019! I am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea that the year, and the decade, is over and it’s time to head back to work and stop hibernating on my couch but alas, here we are!
For the last week I have been lucky enough to be off of work and I spent almost the entire time plopped on some soft surface or another wrapped up in a soft blanket and y new flannel Carolyn Pajamas.
I used fabrics that I had had sitting around in my stash for a few years for these pajamas, including the white deer print snuggle flannel fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics and a remnant of a flannel buffalo plaid to play with color blocking and create the winter-iest of winter-y pajamas that perfectly fit my cozy aesthetic at this time of year.
I chose to mix and match views as well and go for a shorts and long sleeve top combo but with no cuff on the sleeve. Honestly these were just super practical choices with the shorts being because you can pretty much always find me under a blanket and full pants get too warm. The long sleeves with no cuff being because I tend to push up my sleeves and that is just easier to do without cuffs. (Plus I *may* have forgotten to shorten the sleeves and adding the cuff would have made them ridiculously long.)
This was my first successful Carolyn pajama sew and I am so very pleased with how they turned out! Did you make a pair of pajamas for SMS this month? and are you participating again next year?! Let me know in the comments down below!
